The Women’s Mentor Program is designed to provide opportunities for participants to focus on individual learning goals and professional opportunities within the Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD). 

Program Goals and Expectations
What the Women's Mentor Program will provide to the Mentees:
  • Explore mentees' personal and professional goals and expectations.
  • Each Mentee is assigned their own Mentor (Mentees are required to meet with their Mentors at least once a month)
  • Attend all 8 sessions (September to April, Fridays once a month)
  • Encourage continued professional development activities, such as advanced degrees and other educational opportunities, training and internships.
  • Explore job options and opportunities within Maricopa.
  • Enhance personal and job development skills.
  • Improve job techniques for succeeding in Maricopa.
  • Provide a support network through regularly scheduled group activities.
 Learning Outcomes at the Completion of the Program:
  As a result of participating in the Women's Mentor Program, mentees will be able to:
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Maricopa culture, mission, vision, values and strategic goals.
  • Identify personal and professional goals.
  • Recognize the importance of and employ mentoring relationships.
  • Utilize professional networking skills.
  • Apply personal and professional development skills including mediation and strategies for personal wellness.
  • Prepare a professional resume and demonstrate communication skills for job interviews.
  • Job search skills such as resume writing, interviewing techniques, and insight into MCCCD's hiring process.
